All-ceramic ZrO2 preparation using diamond instruments and water-cooling
Material-friendly preparation of the sintered ceramic to prevent microcracks and chipping is required to ensure a long service life of all-ceramic restorations. Large areas should no longer be trimmed but only the necessary, minor fitting adjustments should be completed using special K diamonds and water-cooling. The grit sizes of the diamond instruments are adapted accordingly to prevent the ceramic particles being ripped out, ensuring the long-term stability of the ceramic is not put at risk.
